Foods Low in Carbs -
Eat More

Foods Low in Carbs can keep you full longer. Become the healthiest you! Lose weight and keep it off by learning how to use carbs to your benefit.

These examples of low carb foods come from the book The New Glucose Revolution for Diabetes by Dr. Jennie Brand-Miller, Kaye Foster-Powell, Dr. Stephen Colagiuri and Alan W. Barclay. I highly recommend this book!

Even going beyond which foods have carbohydrates, find out where these foods fall on the glycemic index. Not all carbs are created alike (even low carbs). The glycemic index helps you pick foods that digest slower.

Cut out all carbs?? No carb diet?

Don't forget that carbohydrates are essential for our bodies.

We need carbs for energy and to keep our brain functioning. The brain can't use fat as energy - just carbohydrates.

The carb chart above can help you choose "better carbs."

I can see how low carb diets got a bad reputation. It would be easy to ignore all the low/no carb fruits and vegetables and just eat meat, cheese and fats. You'd still be eating low carb, but obviously not in the healthiest way.

Embrace carbohydrates! Enjoy avocado dip, strawberry smoothies, spicy chili-flavored dishes, and spaghetti sauce!
